A little birdie forwarded me this interesting tidbit re. Bone’s Restaurant in the New York Times…
Bone’s is without a doubt the most old school steakhouse in Atlanta – frequently referred to as the ” good ol’ boys club” by my colleagues. Don’t judge it by its appearance, folks, cause grandpa is hipper than you think! Bone’s is now using an iPad to assist customers in making wine selections!
Bone’s wine list is incredibly extensive, featuring over 1,350 labels! The iPad allows customers to browse through the list + read detailed descriptions and ratings.
According to the New York Times,“Once patrons make sense of the touch-pad links, which does not take long, they can search for wines by name, region, varietal and price, instantly educating themselves on vintner and vintage. Since the iPads debut at Bone’s six weeks ago, the gadgets have enthralled the (mostly male) customers at the restaurant.”
How cool is this?!
