It’s no secret that I’m a pretty huge Trader Joe’s fan. A few of the cashiers at the Midtown location recognize me, and the guy who hands out samples in the back of the store – well, we are on a first name basis…
Even though I am very familiar with the store, I keep discovering new + noteworthy items, which is probably why I’m there so often. It’s like a post-work day treasure hunt!
(Okay, maybe that is a little extreme…) Anyway, I can’t get enough of two TJ items that I bought for the first time last week – and have now been back for twice already!
The first is Trader Joe’s Frozen Steel Cut Oatmeal:
Here’s the Q+DD on TJFSCO’s Nutritional Facts:
1 package =
2.5 g fat
0 g saturated fat
27 g carbs
4 g dietary fiber
5 g protein
Not bad, not bad. I’ve read about famous people who are on diets grabbing a bowl of steel cut oatmeal in the mornings. It makes sense to me b/c it’s super substantial + filling and really delicious! Such a great way to start your day! LOVE it.
And, Trader Joe’s Gummy Tummies – Penguins:
You guys! I can’t keep these in my place for more than a day or two! I love pretty much anything gummy and keep Slick + I well-stocked with Haribo and whatnot, but I picked up some “Penguin Tummies”- as we are affectionately referring to them – last week at TJ’s + threw them into the freezer under the expert recommendation of my cashier. And, they were gone in a flash! Freezing them is absolutely the way I’d recommend storing them at home. They are amazing! And NO, I will not provide nutritional information for candy. That’s just crazy talk…
Aren’t they so cute, too?! Ah!
Just love me some Penguin Tummies + well, pretty much anything TJ’s sells!
