Happy BIRTHDAY, America!
Looking for somewhere to celebrate our nation’s independence with a few of these bad boys?:
Here are some great options around town:
1. “Legendary 4th” at Lenox Square Mall
Total Atlanta classic. Fireworks will start around 9:40 PM… BUT – get there early for live entertainment on their outdoor stage (as well as the Adidas Tent Sale!) A1A (Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band) starts at 6:00PM and Party on the Moon will start at 7:30 (and they are AWESOME)
2. “Red, White and Brew Beer Fest” at the Georgia Aquarium
Um, beer tasting on the roof of the Aquarium parking deck with primo seats for the Centennial Park fireworks… PLUS Jim & Nick’s BBQ and Yacht Rock? Yes, please. Tix are a well-priced $45/pp. and proceeds benefit Georgia Aquarium education initiatives including SEA: Sponsored Education Admissions.
3. 4th of July Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park
Fireworks start around 9:30 as well… but the gates open at 2pm for lots of family fun – facepainting etc. Live music will start at 4PM (von Grey, The Regulars, theKey and finally Crystal Bowersox at 8:30PM)
I’ll be watching the Lenox fireworks from my rooftop BBQ at the Goodwynn…but until then I’ll be celebrating America’s birthday poolside.
