Welcome to my new favorite pastime: Trying to guess who will play the main characters in the movie version of the Fifty Shades of Grey series has become quite a hobby for me of late. I’ve been spending copious amounts of time, energy, and contemplation working on this, y’all. And, I strongly stand by my selections.
So, let’s proceed, shall we?
I am not really concerned at this point with supporting characters (Kate, Jose, Elliot, etc.), but I have been keeping them in mind to some extent. My main focus, however, is on Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele, and Mrs. Robinson. Below are my top choices for each.
CHRISTIAN GREY (Note: I am going to be really disappointed if Rob Pattinson or Ian Somerhalder are selected for this role. I strongly feel that Christian should be a bit more obscure.)

LOVE Colin Egglesfield as Christian. Wonder what Emma Roberts would be like as Ana. She got the strength and vunerability.
They called me, but when I told them some of my ideas they said they were looking for someone more conservative.
Ok I love Ellen Barkin as Mrs Robinson and I like Lilly Collins (they’d have to give her blue contacts) or Alexis Bledel for Ana. Don’t like ANY of the Christians. My vote is for Aaron Johnson. (most people know him as ‘that guy who played Kick Ass’ but he’s SO much more than that).
Interesting. I didn’t know who he was, so I just Googled him. He would definitely be an interesting choice. My only hesitation is that he seems so young and kinda has a baby face. I remember Christian being described as having a chiseled jaw line, etc. It will be very interesting to see who is selected to play him!!
