I Heart Le Petit Marche (Kirkwood)
Anjali was in town and she was hungry for brunch. We got a group together and someone recommended Le Petit Marche (french for The Little Market) in Kirkwood. I’d never been to Kirkwood before and frankly wasn’t too jazzed about the drive out there when we were going to pass a number of my favorite brunch staples on the way – but I am SO glad that we made the trip. As it turned out, it was one of my favorite brunches in Atlanta!
Established in 2008, Le Petit Marche brings French flair to the downtown Kirkwood neighborhood. This place is hot, y’all – it was recently featured on Bravo’s The New Atlanta. The food is really something special + the market is adorably decorated.
Here’s a peek inside:
And here’s what we ate… (I’m totally drooling over these pictures. It was THAT amazing.)
Best Ever Oatmeal: slow-cooked oatmeal topped with seasonal fruit, pralines, a pinch of cinnamon, and warm maple syrup. It was a work of art.
The Grits Stack: creamy grits topped with scrambled eggs, cheddar, and marinated shrimp and bacon. This made my heart happy.
Le Petit Marche serves breakfast food all day and also offers paninis, sandwiches, and salads. Go check it out if you haven’t already! It’s well-worth the trek.

10th Annual Kirkwood Spring Fling & Tour of Homes (5/19)
I’ve never been to this before, and frankly not all familiar with this area of the Dirty, but I will never turn my nose up at a festival!
Want the diversity of a big festival with the warmth and ease of a neighborhood party? If so, please join us for the 10th Annual Kirkwood Spring Fling and Tour of Homes. Browse the open air artist market in the shade of giant trees. Enjoy the sounds of bands and singers on the big stage. Bring your children to the designated kids’ area. And grab lunch, a snack, and a beverage from one of our local food vendors.
Interested in architecture? Kirkwood has a diverse collection of building styles from classic Victorian cottages to craftsman bungalows to modern lofts and everything in between! Some of our best homes will be showcased on the Tour of Homes.
Admission to the festival is FREE! The Spring Fling will be held in Bessie Branham Park and surrounding areas. Tickets for the Tour of Homes can be purchased in the park at the festival or in advance at several local businesses. All proceeds go to benefit the Kirkwood Neighbors Organization, a local 501c3 non-profit group dedicated to community improvement.
More information about the Kirkwood Spring Fling can be found here: SPRING FLING!
I think this sounds like such a great time, and a really nice way to get aquainted with Kirkwood! Soooooooooooo, who’s going?!
