My 2001 Ford Explorer only has 68,000 miles on it.  (Mechanics are shocked when they hear this.)  My entire Atlanta life consists within a relatively small Midtown bubble, and there’s no need for me to make long trips OTP for very much – that is except for my beloved Forever 21 shopping sprees…  I can credit at least half of the miles on my SUV to weekend drives up to Perimeter Mall to check out F21′s new accessories.  And, I’m not at all ashamed.

Well, guess what?!  The day I’ve been waiting for has FINALLY arrived!! 

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Forever 21 is opening in Lenox Mall in winter 2011!  It will be located next to Urban Outfitters, and will be the largest Forever 21 in Georgia.  Lenox’s F21 will carry clothing, accessories, active wear, intimates + a maternity line!

Sooooooo, I’m kinda digging these double finger rings that I’m seeing all over now.

I’m certainly not talking about the Mr. T look, either…

I’m talking about more like the Tracy DiMarco from Jerseylicious look…

I never thought that double finger rings could actually be cute or feminine, but just look @ these!

I really think that they are kind of precious.  Apparently, Lauren Conrad rocks them, too:

She’s a bit annoying, but I definitely like her style + trust it way more than T. DiMarc’s from Jerseylicious – although credit where credit is due – Tracy is the reason I noticed these rings in the first place. 

Anywhoo, I decided to start small – so I ventured OTP to Perimeter Mall this weekend to see if I could pick up a double finger ring @ my beloved Forever 21, and came home w/ THIS bad boy:

So, we’ll see how it goes.  I love the ring - but def. want to make sure that my fingers don’t feel like I’ve trapped them in a cage before I spend more than $8 on a fancier one.

It’s no secret that I truly love a good deal.  I’d say about 70% of my clothes are either from Forever 21 or Banana Repub. sales, and I happen to be v. proud of that.  Finding a really good deal takes talent + dedication + years of practice, and feels so incredibly rewarding when you do.

As far as bargain shopping in Atlanta is concerned, I’ve been very impressed with the extensive shoe and purse departments at Marshalls near the Peachtree + Piedmont intersection, where I’ve seen Badgley Mishka, Furla and Michael Kors purses, and L.A.M.B. and Diane von Furstenberg kicks.

Slick’s been out of town for a week, and I always find that when he’s away on a business trip is such an excellent time for some retail therapy.    Last month when he was gone for two weeks for work, I went out on a Saturday afternoon to buy a new swimsuit for our upcoming cruise over Labor Day, but instead accidentally came home with a new Phoebe Couture dress, two work shirts from J. Crew and a pair of Tory Burch sunglasses.  Oops..

I decided to reel myself in just a little bit over his business trip this week, and went to Target instead. 

I’m usually not a big fan of their shoe department, but I found two pairs of the greatest shoes on sale there yesterday!  Feast your eyes on:

And, surprisingly, I have to say that both were priced under $20 – and they are COMFORTABLE!  I’m wearing the pumps to work today, and my feet feel just fine. 

The Tarjeys in Buckhead and Atlantic Station (rumor has it that it’s the largest one in the U.S.) are my personal favs.  I’m just sayin’…  Retail therapy works wonders for me, but it’s not always as pleasant for my wallet as it is for my well-being and wardrobe.  Tarjey made that a whole lot easier this week!

It’s been raining a whole lot in Atlanta recently. There are just a few things that can immediately rock my mood – and getting rained on is at the very top of that list.  I love curling up on a couch and watching a movie while it’s pouring outside or peering out of my office floor to ceiling and seeing the rain fall on Piedmont Park while I am a busy worker bee - but I’ve had to move around quite a bit in our recent nasty weather and the rain has been coming down s.i.d.e.w.a.y.s.
